Business apps top govt’s app challenge application list

New Delhi: A recent government contest to promote domestic mobile apps received the maximum number of applications under the business apps category, followed by social networking, e-learning and the health and wellness category. This is a reflection of the kind of app development happening currently in the Indian startup ecosystem, said government officials.

Under a first-of-its-kind contest – called Aatmanirbhar Bharat Innovation Challenge – the government shortlisted 24 companies from close to 7,000 entries from across the country.
