Trai to decide on Vodafone Idea RedX plan in a week

Kolkata: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) is likely to take a final decision in a week on whether or not to ban Vodafone Idea’s RedX tariff plan after the telco replied to the regulator’s show cause notice late Tuesday evening.

A senior Trai official said the authority “is examining the telco’s reply and would take a considered decision”. Details of VIL’s response could not immediately be ascertained. Trai is examining whether VIL’s RedX plan degraded the quality of services of their users on other non-premium offers.
