Former DoT Secy JS Deepak, Rita Teotia, others apply for the position of next Trai chief: Report
NEW DELHI: The Central government has received about 80 applications from former IAS officers for the position of Trai chief as the incumbent Trai chief RS Sharma is set to demit the office on September 30, after a two year extended period, Financial Express reported.
Out of the 80 applications, 35 are from former IAS officers or close to superannuation.
As per sources who are in know of the matter, former telecom secretary JS Deepak, former commerce secretary Rita Teaotia, and former steel secretary Aruna Sharma are some of the bureaucrats who are in the race for the job of Trai chief.
