WhatsApp may make it easier to access chats across iPhones and Android phones
If anyone has ever switched from an Android phone to an iPhone — or vice versa — they know that one thing that they certainly have to compromise is on their WhatsApp chats. The popular chat platform doesn’t offer support for cross-platform chat history sync as Android users get to keep their backup on Google Drive and the iPhone users get to keep it on their iCloud account.
However, it seems that the company may be working on resolving this problem for users as a report by WABetaInfo suggests that this problem may be fixed with the rollout of the multi-device support feature.
“WhatsApp was previously working to convert the iOS database to the one compatible with the Android format,” said the report. However, the report also says that the feature is not yet confirmed. “This feature is under development and it will be available in future,” adds the report.
