Committed to digitally connect uncovered villages: Ravi Shankar Prasad
NEW DELHI: Union telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad Monday said that the government is taking steps to provide connectivity in the far-flung, difficult, border areas of strategic importance, so as to ensure a better quality of life to the people as well as to those who are working in these areas.
“We are committed to providing digital connectivity to uncovered villages and border areas,” Prasad said at a press meet Monday, following the launch of undersea cable connectivity at Andaman & Nicobar Islands by prime Minister Narendra Modi.
