TDSAT asks Vodafone Idea, Jio to respond to Trai plea seeking changes in tribunal order on RedX

Kolkata: The Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) on Friday allowed Vodafone Idea NSE -2.33 % and Reliance Jio to respond within a week to an application filed by the sector regulator. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has sought limited changes in the appellate tribunal’s recent interim order, staying its July 11 move to suspend VIL’s premium RedX tariff plan.

Last week, the tribunal had stayed Trai’s order blocking VIL’s RedX premium plan and had said the regulator’s enquiry into the matter had been triggered by Jio’s complaint on July 8.
