Nokia 1 starts getting Android 10 Go Edition updates
NEW DELHI: HMD Global, the company which holds the license to manufacture Nokia branded smartphones, has started rolling out Android 10 update for its entry-level Nokia 1 smartphone. The Android Go Edition phone was launched in 2018 and it is the 16th phone of the company to receive Android 10 updates. The company has already rolled out Android 10 update on Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 2.3, Nokia 6.2, Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus.
This is the second major software update for the smartphone as the device got Android 9.0 Pie update in June last year. The company took to Twitter to announce the software update. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global, tweeted, “The Android 10 (Go Edition) update for our affordability champ, Nokia 1 (2018) is now rolling! Get ready to upgrade your entry-level smartphone experience to a new level. Head over to our community for full details and availability by country.”
