TikTok ban: Chingari and Mitron app gain top spot on Apple App Store and Google Play Store

After the government order to block video-sharing app TikTok along with other 58 Chinese apps, desi rival apps have gained popularity among users. Two such apps — Mitron and Chingari — have jumped to top spots on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Chingari is categorised as the number one social networking app on the App Store and has a 4.1-star rating. It is ranked number 2 under the ‘Top Free Apps’ category on the App Store. While on the Google Play Store, the app’s rating is 4.5 star and has registered more than 5 million downloads. Chingari short video making app is ranked number 2 under the ‘Top Free’ apps category on Google Play Store.
