Chinese hackers suspected behind massive cyber attack in Australia
Sydney: A massive cyber attack hit Australian Government and businesses on Friday which is reported to be handiwork of a nation-state backed hacking group and China is top on the suspect list, the media reported.
In an urgent press conference in Canberra, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the ongoing, large-scale hack was being executed by a “sophisticated, state-based cyber actor”, reports www.news.com.au.
“This activity is targeting Australian organisations across a range of sectors, including all levels of government, industry, political organisations, education, health, essential service providers and operators of other critical infrastructure,” Morrison told the media.
