India consumer storage market grows 8% in Q1, SanDisk leads
New Delhi: The India consumer storage market shipments grew eight per cent in the first quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter with SanDisk dominating the overall market, said a report from CyberMedia Research (CMR).
However, on the back of Covid-19, the market declined by 21 per cent year-over-year.
“Brands were ready with ample stock in January and February to maintain smooth supply and demand process during this period. However, with the onset of Covid-19, the market was predictably disrupted with slowdown in both demand and supply,” Shipra Sinha, Lead Analyst, CyberMedia Research, said in a statement.
The Pen Drive market grew by 16 per cent quarter-over-quarter and Micro SD market remained flat in Q1, said the report titled “India Consumer Storage Flash Devices Market Review”.
