Cognizant COO Srinivasan Veeraraghavachary to step down

Mumbai: Srinivasan Veeraraghavachary, COO at Cognizant is stepping down, joining a slew of senior executives of the company who have quit the company since Brian Humphries took over as CEO last April. Veeraraghavachary, a two decade veteran at Cognizant, held several roles including Corporate Security, Global IT and sales and operations would remain in the organisation till August.

“Shortly after I joined Cognizant, Srini and I discussed his career aspirations. He expressed his interest in transitioning out of Cognizant to pursue his next challenge, yet committed to stay in his role and provide his support for the next year,” Humphries wrote in an email to employees last week. ET reviewed the mail that was confirmed by Cognizant on Sunday.
