Huawei increasing investments in India to grow HMS: Honor India head
NEW DELHI: Huawei-owned smartphone maker Honor is increasing its investments in India to quickly grow its Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) and said that the country will play a major role in building a full-fledged ecosystem around its app store.
Huawei’s HMS is an alternative to Google Mobile Services (GMS) which will now come preloaded in all Huawei and Honor smartphones.
“You can see HMS going very fast. India would be our global first frontline to grab consumer attention. We need to speed up ecosystem building exercise and keep investments in India for developers, consumers, and partners. We will keep increasing investment,” Honor India President Charles Peng, told ET.
