India’s new telecom policy in line with global sustainable developmental goals: Trai Sharma

New Delhi: India’ National Digital Communications Policy (NDCP) is in line with global agenda of sustainable development goals, Trai chairman RS Sharma said.

In a congratulatory note the World Telecommunications and Information Society Day on Sunday, Sharma said, “one of the important objectives of the NDCP is to create a robust digital communication infrastructure, which can be used for development in various sectors including Education, Healthcare, Energy, Employment, Innovation, etc.”

These policies will help in many ways to achieve all the overall socio-economic development envisaged in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
