Google may delay Pixel 4a launch to June: Report
The Google Pixel 4a smartphone may not be launched this month as reportedly earlier. The Pixel 4a launch may be delayed to June if a new report by Android Police quoting a Germany-based blog dubbed as ‘Caschys Blog’ is to be believed. Google Pixel 4a was expected to be launched on May 22 in the Europe.
As per the report, the Google Pixel 4a may go on sale on June 5 as per the updated database of Vodafone. Interestingly, Google will showcase the first public beta of Android 11 on June 3 and there is a possibility that Google may reveal the Pixel 4a at the same event as well.
Google will live stream the Android 11 launch event at 8:30PM IST on June 3. As Google has cancelled Google I/O 2020 developer conference for the coronavirus pandemic, the live stream will be mostly dedicated to the next big Android release. With Android 11, Google is said to have focused a lot on user privacy and security. The next Android version may reportedly be more strict in allowing apps to access camera and microphone in phones. Since Google gave India a miss for its flagship smartphones last year, Pixel 4a is expected to make the company’s mark in the Indian smartphone market.
