Snapdeal joins the streaming game with Hungama Play

NEW DELHI: Online shopping firm Snapdeal has partnered with video-on-demand platform Hungama Play to offer streaming services to its users.

The partnership will offer short-format content, movies, television shows and short films across genres in more than 15 languages, including Hindi, English, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Gujarati and others.

Launched at a time when the world is practising social distancing, the association is aimed at offering Snapdeal users an easy way to order their essentials and entertain themselves using the same app from the safety of their homes, the company said in a statement.
