Google won’t reveal these key Android numbers any more
NEW DELHI: Google always released the Android distribution numbers which shows the percentage of devices that are running on Android operating system. However, since the past one year Google did not released the Android distribution numbers. Now, the tech giant has finally decided to remove the page which showed Android distribution numbers.
The main purpose of the Android distribution chart was to inform the app developers who create new apps. The chart would help them in setting the minimum Android version required for the new app. Along with this, if also explains the percentage of particular Android version running on devices and for quite some time the numbers have not been impressive. For instance, the Android Marshmallow which was launched in 2015 has a total market share of 15%.
