Sale of DD Free Dish MPEG-2 slots

Prasar Bharti bagged Rs 594 crore from the sale of DD Free Dish MPEG-2 slots of 53 channels during the 44th e-auction completed on February 28, 2020. The key highlight of the e-auction was robust participation of channels across genres that saw several new channels make a debut enhancing the content diversity on DD Free Dish as a platform.

The increased competitiveness in the e-auction process is reflected in the substantial increase in bids over base prices across genres.
