Facebook has launched a new feature for gamers

NEW DELHI: Facebook has come up with a new plan to beat the coronavirus lockdown blues. Facebook Gaming announced the launch of a new feature that will bring people together virtually.
Called Tournaments the new feature will enable users to create and organise virtual tournaments in various formats such as double elimination, round-robin and more.
In an official post, the company said, “We’re excited to open early access to Facebook Gaming tournaments, a feature to help people stay connected through games. Gaming is all about friendly competition, and Facebook Gaming tournaments help bring that experience to everyone wherever they are, whatever game they’re playing.”
In order to create a tournament user can go to fb.gg/tournaments. Users are allowed to create several tournaments tied to one event. They can fill in the date and location, tournament type, the game being played and then invite participants.
