BSNL, Vodafone Idea change network display names to raise Covid-19 awareness

Vodafone Idea and BSNL have changed their network display names in a bid to improve the awareness about the Covid-19 or coronavirus outbreak, according to media reports.

Vodafone Ideanow displays “Vodafone-Be Safe” as its network display name whereas, the state-run telecom operator BSNL displays “BSNL Stay at Home” as its network display name.

The decision to change the network display name comes amid the efforts undertaken by telecom majors to keep the telecom services in India running 24×7 smoothly.
