Covid-19: Feature phone shipments to fall 36% YoY in April-June quarter, says CMR

NEW DELHI: Feature phone shipments are likely to fall 34-36% in the April-June quarter year-on-year due supply and demand issue caused by the Covid-19 or coronavirus outbreak in the country, as per CyberMedia Research (CMR). The feature phone shipments will decline by 6% year-on-year in 2020 calendar year.

The research agency said that it is expecting a 25-28% yearly decline in the January-March quarter.

“We expect H2 2020 to be better for the feature phone market. CMR has revised our market guidance for the entire year,” the agency said.
