Covid-19: Infosys Foundation announces Rs 100 Cr support

BENGALURU: InfosysNSE 4.59 % Foundation will give Rs 100 crore to help the country contain the Covid-19 virus outbreak, it said in a statement on Monday. It has contributed half of this amount to the PM CARES Fund.

The contribution will primarily be utilized across three broad areas.

To expand hospital capacity for treatment and enable hospital stays for Covid-19 patients, especially the poor, across India.

To provide ventilators, testing kits, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like masks, and other protective gear for frontline healthcare workers.

And, to ensure better access to food and nutrition for the poor.
