Here’s why you should not update your iPhone to iOS 13.4 for now

Apple’s latest iOS update — iOS 13.4 — was rolled out earlier this week to all iPhone users across the world and came with over 15 bug fixes. However, it seems that the latest update comes with its own share of issues.

According to a report by Forbes, the latest iOS update includes a security vulnerability that prevents users’ data from being secure when they use a VPN (Virtual private network) on their iPhone. First discovered by popular VPN service Proton, the bug is unable to close the existing unsecured connections whenever the VPN starts and “some are long-lasting and can remain open for minutes to hours outside the VPN tunnel.”

“Neither Proton VPN nor any other VPN service can provide a workaround for this issue because iOS does not permit a VPN app to kill existing network connections,” Proton explains.
