Vodafone Idea completes payment of self assessed AGR dues

MUMBAI: Vodafone Idea Ltd has completed the payment of full principal amount of ₹6,854 crore in the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) related dues as determined by the telecom operator in its self assessment, the company informed the stock exchanges on Monday.

On 6 March, Vodafone Idea had filed its self assessment of the AGR liabilities with the department of telecommunications (DoT), in which the principal amount was determined at ₹6,854 crores from FY2006-07 to FY2018-19.

Separately, the Supreme Court (SC) earlier today dismissed a petition by the telecom firm challenging the levy of one-time spectrum charges (OTSC) by the government.

The operator had in February paid ₹2,500 crores on 17 February and another ₹1,000 crores on 20 February towards this liability.
