Google Play Store now showing coronavirus apps, but not for India yet

NEW DELHI: Recently it was reported that Google has disabled all searches related to coronavirus-related apps. This means any search for ‘coronavirus’ or ‘COVID-19’ on the Google Play Store shows the message ‘no results found’.
Now, the tech giant has decided to keep the users informed about the ongoing pandemic. Google has now curated a list of apps that will help users in staying informed about the coronavirus, as reported by 9to5Google.
However, this new feature is personalized country wise and at the time of writing, it is not live in India yet. This means users in the US are able to see the new apps and presently in India users will not get the same search result.
As per the report, in the primary app section users will see a new card on the top of the page which reads, ‘Coronavirus: Stay Informed’. This card consists of a list of six applications.
