Nokia to hold MWC event on February 23; may launch Nokia 8.2, Nokia 5.2 and Nokia 1.3
HMD Global owned Nokia has announced its Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 event. The company is sending out media invites for an event scheduled at 4pm local time (8:30pm IST) on February 23. This year’s MWC event will occur in Barcelona, Spain where Nokia is expected to expand its smartphone lineup.
Nokia however, has not revealed the name of the smartphone/s that it may launch at the event. A recent report by NokiaMob, it may launch at least three smartphones at the upcoming MWC 2020 event. It is rumoured that the smartphone brand may bring Nokia 8.2 5G, Nokia 5.2, Nokia 1.3 and a special Nokia ‘Original’ series phone.
As per the report, Nokia 8.2 5G is expected to be the costliest and is likely to offer 6GB+128GB storage as a base variant. The handset is also rumoured to come in 8GB+128GB or 8GB+256GB variants as well. It is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC and may offer a 32MP selfie pop-up camera. The device is said to be backed by 3500mAh battery along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
