Share market update: Telecom shares mixed; RCom climbs 5%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading on a mixed note in Wednesday’s morning session.

Shares of Reliance Communications (up 4.94 per cent), Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (up 4.92 per cent), Optiemus Infracom (up 3.59 per cent), GTPL Hathway (up 3.11 per cent), ITI (up 2.41 per cent), Sterlite Technologies (up 1.5 per cent), Tejas Network (up 1.45 per cent) and Aksh Optifibre (up 1.3 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Vodafone Idea (down 1.97 per cent), OnMobile Global (down 1.41 per cent), Bharti Infratel Ltd (down 0.5 per cent), Vindhya Telelinks (down 0.48 per cent) and Bharti Airtel (down 0.16 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
