Reliance Jio today announced the launch of nation-wide Voice & Video over Wi-Fi service. The new service allows Jio customers to make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi network using their existing Jio number without any extra charge.

To make calls one needs to have Wi-Fi calling service in your handset. Jio has issued a a step-by-step guide on its website: Jio.com/wificalling – where you can find whether your device supports the calling feature or not.

Jio was testing this service over the past few months.
