Twitter will soon let users limit or block replies. Here is why

Focusing specifically on conversations and to cut harassment for many, Twitter announced that it will soon give users four options to allow them to decide who can participate in their conversations or threads on its platform.

Speaking at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020, Twitter’s director of product management, Suzanne Xie, said that Twitter is adding a new setting for “conversation participants” right on the compose screen. It has four options: “Global, Group, Panel, and Statement,” The Verge reported.

The first option will be ‘Global’ where anyone can post replies to your tweet.

In the second option called ‘Group’, you can limit replies to people you follow and mention (Group).
