Share market update: Telecom shares mixed; MTNL jumps 5%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday’s morning session.

Shares of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (up 4.98 per cent) , Optiemus Infracom (up 4.93 per cent) , Sterlite Technologies (up 2.3 per cent) , ITI (up 0.94 per cent) and Aksh Optifibre (up 0.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Tejas Network (down 2.91 per cent) , Reliance Communications (down 2.25 per cent) , Bharti Infratel Ltd (down 0.93 per cent) , Vodafone Idea (down 0.49 per cent) , HFCL Ltd (down 0.28 per cent) , Vindhya Telelinks (down 0.17 per cent) , OnMobile Global (down 0.16 per cent) and Bharti Airtel (down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
