Vivo joins the race to launch Snapdragon 865-powered 5G smartphone

New Delhi: Chinese smartphone maker Vivo on Thursday said that it will be one of the first handset players to launch a smartphone based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 5G Mobile Platform.

Previously, Oppo also claimed to launch its 5G smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform in the first quarter of 2020.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with the X55 5G Modem-RF System supports 5G speeds of up to 7.5 Gbps. With the new upgrade, the AI computing rate can achieve a strong performing rate of 15 trillion operations per second.
