Come December 1st, Netflix will stop working on these devices

Streaming service Netflix is going to discontinue support for multiple older Smart Televisions and streaming sticks by December this year, it has revealed. The company has informed potentially impacted users of the change via an email. However, you would receive a screen notification if you are one of the impacted customers.

According to reports, these include older Samsung Smart TVs from 2011 or earlier, Vizio Smart TVs which are more than four years old and also first-generation Roku players. You can check if your Roku device is going to be fine or you’ve missed an email by seeing whether or not it displays an ‘autoplay next’ indicator on the screen. However, it has been reported that the first two generations of Roku players will be affected by the discontinuation.
