Indian Google Pixel smartphones won’t even get this Pixel 4 software feature

Soon after the launch of Google’s Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL smartphones, the company was quick to confirm that the devices won’t be coming to one of the largest smartphone markets in the world – India. If that was not enough to make them angry, the company has now revealed that a software-based feature in Pixel 4 will also not be coming to older devices, which means Pixel 3, 3XL, Pixel 2, 2XL, Pixel and Pixel XL.

As mentioned by Android Police, Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL come with a feature called ‘Screen Attention’ that keep the display awake as long as you are watching the screen. The report also adds that this feature doesn’t use Project Soli but the front-facing camera, which means this is a software feature that can arrive to older devices as well. However, it might not be the case.
