Google Chrome gets an update for iOS and desktop: Here’s what’s new
Google is rolling out the latest version of Chrome from iOS, Mac, Windows, and Linux. The latest Chrome version is Chrome 78. For iOS, the latest version adds support for system-wide Dark mode setting. This means that if you have selected the Dark mode in the Display and Brightness setting, Google Chrome will now support that with no option to individually turn it off. The Dark mode of Google Chrome is visible on the New Tab page, bars, and various menus. Users will also notice a design overhaul of Bookmarks, History, Recent Tabs, and Reading Lists. The pages now feature bolder headings. Users also get the direct option to add a new credit card from the settings page.
As for the desktop version of Chrome for Mac, Windows, and Linux, there are new customisation options for New Tab page, a click-to-call feature, and new tab overlays.
