Apple’s iOS 13 already running on 50% of all the iPhones, here’s how it compares to Android
Apple’s brand new OSes of 2019, iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 have reached a majority of the iPhones and Ipad tablets according to the latest figures shared by the company. The firm says that its iOS 13 is currently running on more than 55% of all the iPhones running across the world. As for iPadOS 13, the new operating system has already reached 33% of all the iPad tablets.
It has also been mentioned that around 38% of all the iPhones are running iOS 12 as well while around 7% of iPhones are on the earlier versions as per the pie chart. Expanding the data that includes not just iPhones but iPods as well, around 50% of compatible devices are on iOS 13 while 41% are on iOS 12. Rest of them are on 9%. If you compare the OS adoption rate of iOS 13 with that of the iOS 12 as per the data shared by Apple on October 11, 2018, it is almost the same at 50%.
However, it is still better as the data shown is excluding the iPads. Last year’s data included all the iPads that were powered by iOS.
