LinkedIn will allow users to create, attend events with new ‘Made In India’ feature

BENGALURU: LinkedIn, a professional networking site, is rolling out a new ‘Events’ feature, which will allow members to create and attend events.

After Linkedin’s pilot in November 2018 with a select group of members in San Francisco and New York, the product will now be available across all regions, first in all English-speaking markets on October 17, followed by non-English markets in the coming months.

LinkedIn Events is one of the first products built out of the Bengaluru Research & Development Centre for a global audience. Apart from Events, the team is developing and testing other avenues to connect members using QR codes, business cards, and proximity-based beacons. LinkedIn had an event feature in the past but was shut down later.
