If you cannot switch on your iPhone 6s, Apple will repair it for free

If your iPhone 6s is not turning on, Apple has a solution for you. The Cupertino-based technology giant is offering a free service programme to repair iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices that may not power on. Apple has recently noticed that some of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models— manufactured between October 2018 to August 2019 — may not turn on due to a component that may fail. So, the company has decided to repair the affected models for free.

Once the most popular smartphone from Apple’s kitty, the iPhone 6s series, originally went on sale in September 2015. The company discontinued the series in September 2018 with the launch of the iPhone XS and iPhone XR.

How to check if your iPhone 6s is eligible for this programme

If your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus is giving you trouble, it’s time to take it for a free repair. iPhone users can check the serial number of the affected device on Apple website if it is available for the Apple’s “free servicing programme”.
