BARC India’s committee on outlier policy finds process fair, accurate
MUMBAI: The two-member oversight committee appointed by BARC India, the television measurement agency, has given its approval to BARC’s data validation and outlier policy, which was criticised by a few stakeholders.
BARC had appointed the oversight committee led by Nakul Chopra and Praveen Tripathi in June 2019, to review the policy which identifies and eliminates outliers including reach outliers. The committee submitted its report after conducting a review of the entire process and presented a very detailed assessment of the ongoing practice, the agency said.
As per the report, the current process is “accurate and unbiased” and recommended BARC India to continue to follow the process as it is.
