WhatsApp for Android ‘disappears’ from Google Play

WhatsApp for Android is no longer to be seen if you search for the app on Google Play Store. If you search “WhatsApp” on Google Play, the search results only showcase WhatsApp Business app and not the main messaging app. Note that WhatsApp Business is a separate app. However, this doesn’t mean that you cannot download the WhatsApp for Android officially from Google Play.
To download WhatsApp on Android phones, you will have to just start typing WhatsApp on the search box of Google Play and the moment you get you see the WhatsApp Messenger app in the auto-suggest list that gets generated while typing, tap on it to proceed to download. Having said that if you type WhatsApp and hit the search button, the app will not be available. GadgetsNow team has tested this on several Android smartphones and confirms the same.
