Dead lines don’t matter for BSNL
It has been over a month now since several landline and broadband connections of BSNL in Gandhinagar stopped working. But the officials have no answer on when the lines will be restored.
Frustrated subscribers are mulling discontinuing the service.
According to sources, at least 500 connections have been affected. They say BSNL linemen and officials have admitted to issues because of transfer of the telephone exchange and cutting of several wires during civic work. However, none of them knows when the connections will be restored.
Dr Gaurang Thanki, a senior psychiatrist in city, is tired of explaining to his patients why their calls go unanswered. “My BSNL connection is switched off since September 13. Several patients complain that my attendant does not receive calls. I have to explain to them that the fault lies with BSNL.
