Renting test and measurement equipment being preferred by telecom industry: Electro Rent

NEW DELHI: Indian telecom industry is inclining towards renting test and measurement equipment instead of purchasing it owing to profit margins getting tighter amidst intense competition, according to the US-based test equipment services provider Electro Rent.

“Profit margins of telecom stakeholders are getting tighter because of which customers (telecom operators, equipment vendors) are becoming careful with cash since they can’t afford to buy test equipment and have it sitting around,” David Whitfield, CEO Asia, Electro Rent told ET.
