Now, intrusion-detection fibre tech to safeguard borders, deter terrorism
NEW DELHI: India can safeguard its boundaries in the wake of cross-border intrusion and terrorism by deploying an advanced sensor-based fibre optic technology that can detect trespassers with optimum accuracy, a top executive of Pune-based company said.
“The new fibre-optic sensing technology will be disruptive for the government. It would reduce manual intervention especially in the defense forces including coastal regions as well as the India-Pakistan, and Indo-China borders,” Sterlite Technologies (Connectivity Solutions) chief executive Ankit Agarwal told ETT.
