Cybersecurity to become one of biggest revenues opportunities for Indian telcos: IBM India
NEW DELHI: U.S based IT major IBM said that cybersecurity is going to be one of the biggest revenues opportunity for telecom operators in India that may offer security as a service to enterprises and small-medium enterprises and such a move will help them establish ‘digital trust’.
The company said that it is engaging with all three telcos in India for its security-related products through its major IT outsourcing deals and through separate arrangements. IBM is managing Vodafone Idea’s complete Internal Security Operations Center, under the recently inked IT outsourcing deal, as per industry sources.
“We are engaged with all the major telcos in the country. So, we are bringing in our global expertise as well. If you look at it, of my overall cybersecurity business, significant growth is coming from the telcos and I expect that to grow,” Vaidyanathan Iyer, Security Software Leader, IBM India and South Asia told ET.
