Huawei’s warning to president Donald Trump may be bad for Google and Apple
Soon after US president Donald Trump expressed his unwillingness to allow Chinese technology giant Huawei to do business with American companies over “security concerns”, Huawei CEO Ren Zhengfei warned about ‘consequences’. Zhengfei warned the US government that if Huawei is not given access to the entire Android operating system, the company will look at ways to sabotage the “dominance” that Google and Apple enjoys in the global smartphone market.
“If the US government does not allow Google to provide the Android operating system then the world may have a third operating system—and that is not in the best benefit or interests of the United States, allowing a little brother operating system into the world,” Huawei CEO told Sky News.
