Samsung Galaxy Note 10 may be the world’s first phone to have this feature
South Korean tech giant Samsung is set to launch its next flagship phablet smartphone— Samsung Galaxy Note 10 — on August 7 and with just a week ahead of the launch information about the handset series is still pouring in. The latest information sheds light on the water and dust resistant capabilities of the handsets — two or three — that will be part of the Galaxy Note 10 lineup.
According to a tweet by tipster Ishan Agarawal, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 smartphones will come with IP69 rating. For the uninitiated, in any given Ingress Protection (IP) rating, the first digit signifies the protection from foreign bodies — such as dust — and the second digit stands for protection against water. According to the Enclosure Company, 6 is the highest level a device can get in the first digit, This means device is “totally dust tight and offers full protection against dust and other particulates, including a vacuum seal, tested against continuous airflow.”
