How to delete voice recordings stored by Amazon Alexa

There have been several cases where people raised complaints about Amazon Alexa, storing all the voice interactions and transcripts on Amazon’s server. In a recent letter from Amazon, the company has also confirmed that they store the commands permanently until a user chooses to delete them manually.
Senator Chris Coons, a Democrat from Delaware, sent a letter to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos in May, asking information on Alexa voice recording and for how long it keeps the record saved and do they share them.
A senior Amazon executive, in reply to the letter, wrote that Amazon could “retain customers’ voice recordings and transcripts until the customer chooses to delete them.”
