YouTube spotted testing ‘timestamps’ so you can jump to specific moments without watching the entire video again
Looks like Google’s YouTube is trying to make the lives of viewers easy by testing a new ‘Timestamp’ or bookmarks feature. What this essentially does is to prevent viewers from watching the entire video to reach the exact part that they need to see. The feature, as spotted by Android Police, is not yet there in all the regions. The report states that this feature can be seen in the version 10.7.4.21 in the Google app. There is no word on when this feature will be arriving for all.
If you are searching for YouTube videos using Google’s beta app and are on the same version number, you might be able to see some videos with timelines with bookmarks. Below the timeline is a scrollable timestamp with descriptions, which will help you jump to the portion of the video that you want to see.
