Share market update: Telecom shares mixed; Bharti Infratel up nearly 3%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday’s afternoon session.

Shares of Bharti Infratel (up 2.85 per cent), Bharti Airtel (up 1.85 per cent), OnMobile Global (up 1.30 per cent) and GTL Infrastructure (up 1.27 per cent) were trading higher.

GTPL Hathway (down 4.99 per cent), Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (down 4.93 per cent), Reliance Communications (down 3.70 per cent) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (down 3.21 per cent) were trading with losses.

The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 1.60 per cent up at 1039.58 around 11:51 am.
