AI to complement human efforts, not take jobs: IBM’s Vikas Arora

Artificial intelligence (AI) is complementing human effort and not eliminating jobs, said Vikas Arora, Cloud and Cognitive Software Leader, IBM India and South Asia.

AI and other emerging technologies are increasingly becoming mainstream in India and other Asian countries, he said.

Organisations, especially banking and financial services institutions, have seen new technology disrupting their service offerings. These enterprises gradually started moving their applications to the cloud, resulting in more automation and use AI-based solutions.
