Google I/O 2019: Android Q coming 21 smartphones including Pixel phones soon
Google at its annual I/O 2019 developers conference announced that its next Android version– Android Q– will be available on 21 smartphones from 13 brands including the ‘made by Google’ Pixel phones. Android Q is the tenth version of Android. Google claims that Android is powering over 2.5 billion active devices.
Android Q is custom made to cater to the demands of foldable and 5G phones. The new operating system is optimised to offer better multi-tasking experience and can adapt to different screen dimensions easily. This means the transition between the smaller and larger screens in a foldable phone is expected to be seamless. As far as 5G is concerned, Android is the first smartphone operating system to support the next-generation low-latency connectivity.
