Facebook F8 2019: Mark Zuckerberg to address privacy concerns

A lot has happened since Facebook’s F8 developer conference last year. From a spate of privacy breaches to increased concerns over spread of fake news on the platform, Facebook has had to battle through a range of controversies. This year’s Facebook F8 developer conference is expected to focus on users’ privacy and security.

Facebook’s F8 conference will kick off today at 10AM PT (10.30PM IST). The conference will continue till May 1.

Since the beginning of this year, Mark Zuckerberg has hinted at revamping the social networking platform to win users’ trust. This includes shifting focus to private messaging and encryption. Zuckerberg has already confirmed plans to integrate all of its messaging services, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.
